Margaret Mahood (Harris)'s snail image.(Source of image: lettercard to Llewelyn Pritchard, dated 11 May 2003. Margaret was a Grenfell nurse based at Mary's Harbour in the 1960's.)
Sadly, there was great sadness in the snail community when Sticky was accidentally burnt to death whilst sleeping beneath a stone, under a camp fire, in 2003!
Funnily enough, this tragedy coincided with the closure of
